high and higher
i rose so high that i couldn't see the ground
floaty and light as a feather
like nothing else matters
rainbows and sunshine
take me away

tried too hard
i broke a wing
sent me down in spirals
till i lose consciousness
woke up to blood and darkness
echoing pain and screaming wounds

empty hopes and blackened faith
all that's left of a grinded heart
bite the dust of broken dreams
claw through the minefields of the mind
a fatigue soul with fearful courage
